Cheaper Than Therapy Challenge #20 Creation...a bit late!!

Running a bit behind schedule sorry...anyway for this challenge I chose Concord Crush as my colour to add to Black and Vanilla cause it is a bit purple...a bit blue...and just plain pretty!! Her is my creation and a couple of close up piccies, enjoy!

It finally dawned on me this morning that Circle Circus would be perfect for this layout...so while my Dad had oral surgery..I finished decorating my page!

Don't forget to check out what Rach and Maree have created and see what colour they chose to add in!

Cheaper Than Therapy Challenge Creation #19

Our challenge this week was to use the gorgeous Nursery Nest paper pack in the current Stampin Up IB&C with this lovely layout by Becky Fleck:

This kind of came together quickly for me with a little bit of help from Mz Maree!!

Long story... Maree runs a Stamp Club scrabooking group with some friends and as you can see from this post here they do some wonderful projects. Well I join in on a Thursday during the day (blessed that I can share craft time with lovely ladies) and I did the club layout for my daughter and eldest son. Having not yet done a page for my baby boy this weeks challenge was a perfect opportunity to complete the set, so I did!

Here is Benny in all his cuteness:

Cheeky little monkey....lucky it was birds on the paper!!  And a closeup of some of the birdies...

I will finish off the pages for Amy and Josh and post them too - soon!! I love that Perfect Plum can be a boy colour, thats just tops!!

Don't forget to jump on over to Rach and Maree to see the inspiring creations they have for this challenge....although Rach has been busy with her Girl's Night In weekend - Mums, kids everyone was scrap scrap scrappin and making cards this weekend - so our beautiful friend might be resting today and thats ok 'cause she can xoxo

Have a great Monday everyone xox

Cheaper Than Therapy Challenges - Creation #18

I am fairly sure this is almost my last layout for the day Uncle Lindsay graduated!!!  It seems we fitted quite a bit in to our jaunt around Darling Harbour while the ceremony was taking place...and went a bit longer than expected....lucky for some, hey!!  It would also seem that I took quite alot of photos while we were jaunting - and not even of everything we did!!!

Anyway, here is my free for all submission using the great sketch from Becky Fleck........

I have used the surprisingly sumptious Beau Chateau papers...the designers kindly pre-printed my title for me this week which I am very appreciative of.  Everything just fell together beautifully for this layout, I think because we had free choice of colours/papers and the sketch was gorgeous.  really the left hand page follows the sketch and the right just goes with the flow...of the kids round the spiral, lol!!!

Okay then, I best be off and have more caffeine!! Don't forget to check out the wonderful creations of Rachael and Maree for this challenge and swing by tomorrow for our new challenge.  Have a great Monday everyone xox

Cheaper Than Therapy Challenge #18

This week we are using this great Inspired Blueprints sketch:

And the most exciting part is that we have FREE CHOICE of EVERYTHING ELSE to compliment our layout...again...again!! Woohoohoo..hoo...hoo!  It has been ages since we have had that much creative license, fantastic.
Can’t wait to see how these layouts turn out Rach n Maree, one thing I do know though is they will be wonderful!  Have a great week all xoxo

Cheaper Than Therapy Challenge Creation #17

Following on in the Darling Harbour/Graduation theme I couldn't wait to do this page because I could just see it all happening with the wonderful Color Room sketch and colours we had to play with....reminder...

however, when it came to actually putting it all together - out of my head and into real life, that is - it appeared a bit more complex than I had anticipated!!  Possibly the age old issue of culling photos again .......maybe........could be....not totally sure!!! Pretty sure I am not a MINIMALIST though, hehehe.
Anyway here is what happened when I just did it and tried not to think too much......

It kinda works for me, how about you? Must say that I love the 2011-2013 InColours - especially Island Indigo and Pool Party.....Calypso Coral and Lucky Limeade not tooo bad, sometimes scary though!! Shall we say growing on me.

Sail on over and see what Rach and Maree have created for this weeks challenge - and join us tomorrow for a look at Challenge #18. Have a great week everyone xoxo

For the challenge this week we are going back to the wonderful Palettes from the clever girls in The Color Room and we have chosen Palette #34 – His Room which looks like this......

A close up of the sketch reveals:

Vibrant, fresh and very IN COLOURS wouldn’t you say!!! Yes, you guessed it this could be a layout consisting of the following wonderful NEW inColours for 2011-2013:

And the most exciting part is that we have FREE CHOICE of stamp set to compliment our layout...again!! Woohoohoo!  Can’t wait to see how these layouts turn out Rach n Maree!

Have a great week everyone xoxo

Cheaper Than Therapy Challenge - Creation #16

This week I chose to put together a page for the graduation of Nigel's brother Lindsay. The ceremony was held in Darling Harbour in the last week of the school holidays and while Nige and his Mum, my lovely sister-in-law Kate, her son Brendan and his wife Susan attended the graduation, the children and I ran amok in Darling Harbour.....clearly there are more pages to come....the first installment is Lindsay in all his finery - complete with floppy hat!! A picture of dedication our Linds, coming all the way from Tasmania to wear 'a very silly hat' in his words.....love it xoxo

The photos of Kate and Amy are a homage to Kate's birthday (on graduation day) and the challenge set for her by her friend to dance in public for at least 30 seconds!! Well done Kate, you had the best time and I hope you had a wonderful birthday to boot....Amy loved the dancing too....and I just took photos!! Lol!!! xoxo

Don't forget to dance on over to see the wonderful creations Rach and Maree have been busy constructing for this challenge. Have a great Monday all xox

NOTE: Lindsay graduated with a PhD in Philosophy and his middle name is Mervyn and his fondest wish is to be called 'Merv'.....so now he is Dr Merv to us amongst so many other special things!

Sorry we are a bit late posting the challenge this week, there have been holidays and happenings and well you know what can happen in life..........This week we are revisiting the sketch we used in CTTC#11 and adding the new ‘Well Worn’ Designer Series Papers to the challenge. The Well Worn DSP pack is a gorgeous combination of the following colours from the Stampin’ Up! Regal and Neutral collections:

The sketch we used – then and again now - is from the talented Becky Fleck – this is designed as an 8 ½ “ x 11” layout but can easily be adapted to 12”x12”.

And the most exciting part is that we have FREE CHOICE of stamp set to compliment our layout!! Woohoo!  Can’t wait to see how these layouts turn out Rach n Maree!

This week our challenge is to use layout 61 from the clever ladies from Inspired Blueprints

and incorporate Stampin' Up's new Big Top DSP along with Stampin' Up's new Pennant Punch. Both these products are beautifully displayed on pages 32 and 33 of the 2011-2012 Ideas Book & Catalogue.

The colours in the paper pack are as follows:

Cheaper Than Therapy Challenge - Creation #13

Okay, so this challenge was a doosey....remember this:

Here is the brief Maree gave us for this challenge:

" Double 12 x 12 layout. As a minimum:
Page 1 is to have a title, one 5" x 5" photo, 2 or more embellishments.
Page 2 is to have nine 3" x 3" squares (can be a mix of photos, dsp, cardstock, embellishments and although im sure that a square layout comes instantly to mind, this doesnt have to be the case).
Colours are using the Baja Breeze combo's from the Colour Coach. "
Creative Combo: Baja Breeze, Cajun Craze & Basic Gray
or
Sweet Set: Baja Breeze, More Mustard & Cherry Cobbler
Well, here is my creation for the Sweet Set first, followed by the Creative Combo because I am just not good at culling photos!!!..........

So even though the colours have changed the cupcake embellishments maintain the theme as far as I am concerned....and I am catching up on plenty of layouts....win-win I'd say!!!

I hope you like this weeks effort, don't forget to check out what the lovely Rach and Maree have created this week either, I am sure they will be awesome xox Have a great Monday xox

Cheaper Than Therapy Challenges - #12 Creation

When I saw this Palette by The Color Room, chosen by Rachael to be this weeks challenge I loved it and couldn't wait to do it.

Way cool guitar embellishment too....thanks Mr Warden xoxo
