Cheaper Than Therapy Challenge #14

This week we are using a sketch from Scrapbook Etc:-

We are going to use the colour combo's from Stampin' Ups! Colour Coach for Bravo Burgundy, a colour I struggle to use....and I suspect others do too!!!!

The Creative Combo is Bravo Burgundy, River Rock & Baja Breeze.

The Sweet Set combination is Bravo Burgundy, More Mustard and Crumb Cake.
This will be another interesting challenge I'm thinking!

So check in next Monday to see what creations Rach, Maree
and I can come up with.  Have a great week xoxo

Cheaper Than Therapy Challenge - Creation #13

Okay, so this challenge was a doosey....remember this:

Here is the brief Maree gave us for this challenge:

" Double 12 x 12 layout. As a minimum:
Page 1 is to have a title, one 5" x 5" photo, 2 or more embellishments.
Page 2 is to have nine 3" x 3" squares (can be a mix of photos, dsp, cardstock, embellishments and although im sure that a square layout comes instantly to mind, this doesnt have to be the case).
Colours are using the Baja Breeze combo's from the Colour Coach. "
Creative Combo: Baja Breeze, Cajun Craze & Basic Gray
or
Sweet Set: Baja Breeze, More Mustard & Cherry Cobbler
Well, here is my creation for the Sweet Set first, followed by the Creative Combo because I am just not good at culling photos!!!..........

So even though the colours have changed the cupcake embellishments maintain the theme as far as I am concerned....and I am catching up on plenty of layouts....win-win I'd say!!!

I hope you like this weeks effort, don't forget to check out what the lovely Rach and Maree have created this week either, I am sure they will be awesome xox Have a great Monday xox

Cheaper Than Therapy Challenges - #12 Creation

When I saw this Palette by The Color Room, chosen by Rachael to be this weeks challenge I loved it and couldn't wait to do it.

I have been printing a few photos lately to try and meet these challenges and get lots of neglected scrapping done and I found the perfect candidates for this challenge....well the colours suited anyway!

Here is my creation on Soft Suede 12x12 with Crumb Cake, Certainly Celery and Basic Black layering, Very Vanilla and Early Espresso thrown in as well:

Deary Gracious Me!....this child is a scrapbook layout on legs - the antics he gets up to!!! Such a showman and cool little dude, love you Benny Boy xoxo
Way cool guitar embellishment too....thanks Mr Warden xoxo

Don't forget to check out the wonderful creations by Rach and Maree for this challenge, have a great week everyone xoxo

Cheaper Than Therapy Challenge #11 Creation

Our 11th challenge was to use the colours Really Rust, Creamy Caramel and Sage Shadow, the retired paper pack 'Outlaw' - specific sheets mind you!! and the 'Wanted' stamp set - predetermined images and colours (man, we are hard on ourselves....but it is so much fun to collaborate on these challenges)

Well, it was fun when we were pulling the elements together but after a few days it was apparent to me that this one was a doosey!!

I had no idea what to do.....maybe I did too much last week!?!...then flicking through my stash of photos I struck gold!! Drumroll please........here is my creation.....

A very special Thankyou to the extra pair of hands making their debut this week, brought to you at great expence - thanks honey, love you xoxo

I threw as many zoo and farm animals and reptiles as I possibly could at my layout this week...and I reckon a few missed out as well!!! However now there are several packets of duplicates that can go in the kids scrappin box now, I am done!

I hope you like my effort for this challenge, I can't wait to see what Rach and Maree came up with.  Have a great week and tune in tomorrow for our next challenge. See ya! xox

Christmas Cards for 17th Sept Class

Hi all,  here is the promised picture of the cards we will be making on Saturday 17th September:

Hopefully soon I will have a photo of the cards we will be making at the class following this one - looking to use the Winter Post stamp set - I just need to design and make them first!!!.  I will also be using some designs by Claire Daly using this stamp set from her tutorial I bought last year.  Can't rush these things you know!!

Have a great rest of the week xoxo

Cheaper Than Therapy Challenge #11

This week we are doing another sketch challenge combined with the colours Really Rust, Creamy Caramel and Sage Shadow (all now retired).  We are also all using the same papers from the retired ‘Outlaw’ dsp pack and the retired stamp set Wanted......so I guess this week we are having an all round RETIRED PRODUCT Challenge.

The sketch we will use is another lovely one from the talented Becky Fleck – this is designed as an 8 ½ “ x 11” layout but can easily be adapted to 12”x12”.

Can’t wait to see how these layouts turn out Rach n Maree!

Cheaper Than Therapy Challenge - Creation 10

Note: You might need to get a cuppa for this one!!! xoxo

I was a bit slow getting into the challenge for this week, initially making a decision on colours to use was the issue....then what photos to scrap.....it was really a tad challenging, lol!! Then it all came together and just seemed to happen and happen and happen!!

I love my week because this is how I fill the middle of it:

* I spend Tuesdays scrappin with Rach, Maree and Cath (3 beautiful women that I love dearly and enjoy spending time with each week)
* I spend Wednesday mornings with another beautiful group of women studying the Bible and finding meaning for Today in the word of God - and I love them dearly too and enjoy the time I spend with them each week then
* I spend Thursday doing more scrappin with Maree, Cath and more wonderful women, enjoying their company.

I feel blessed to have the time to spend with these special ladies, doing things together that encourage and uplift our spirits in one way or another.

Anyway, we are currently looking at the book of Isaiah on Wednesdays and from this study came my submissions for this week:

Scrap Layout Off the Page item

I have used Regal Rose, Crumb Cake, Pink Pirouette and Close to Cocoa (retired) card, Vintage Vogue stamps and Very Vintage wheel, the new Posy Punch hostess set and Fancy Flower punch plus assorted brads, Big Shot Timeless Type alpha dies and Little Leaves die.
Card Layout Off the Page item:

Here I have used Purely Pomegranate card and ribbon (retired), instead of Regal Rose and the Beautiful Wings embosslit - then this one kind of made itself and I found a gorgeous frame on Ebay that was just perfect -

I guess that is a summary of where I am at the moment. The last 2 projects draw from Romans 8: 31-39 and the first project just came one day when I started typing.  Now I just need to find a home for them all in the hope my children will feel the love too.

Sorry this has been such a long challenge show & tell, but this too has just kind of happened! xoxo

Don't forget to jump on over to see what Rach and Maree ave created for this challenge - and stay tuned for the next challenge posted tomorrow.  Have a great week xoxo
