Boxes Project Rethink!! Go Figure

I have had a bit of feedback on the projects I had lined up for the Boxes Christmas workshop this coming weekend and it confirmed what I sort of thought anyway...while the items were cute and delightful etc...they wer SMALL and IMPRACTICAL and Christmas gift wrapping!!!

So I have had another play around and come up with these instead:

We have a Gift Bag topper, a baggie made from a sheet of 12x12 paper, a Kraft Gift Box (p161 in the Annual Catalogue), another cute gift idea using the Season of Sweets Designer Kit (p15 in the Holiday Catalogue) and a couple of other goodies to fill up the big white gift bag!!  These packaging offerings would be lovely wrappings for a Teacher gift with chocolates in them, or for your children to take treats in to share with their classmates or as an Office treat for your co-workers.
So, if these projects are more your style the class details are as follows:

Again there are 3 dates listed so that people have options however the projects on offer at each class will be the same. The details are as follows:

Dates: Friday 30th November 10am - 2pm
           Friday 30th November 7 - 11pm
           Sunday 2nd December 1pm - 5pm

WHAT TO BRING: Please bring your trimmer, a scoring blade if you have one and your favorite scissors if you'd like to.
Where: To be advised on booking

Cost: $25 including nibblies, tea, coffee or cold drinks.....and some treats to fill your boxes

RSVP: As soon as possible by email or call me on 0419428687.

I am happy to arrange other days in extenuating circumstances if there is a time that suits us both BEFORE Christmas happens!!

Have a great week xox

These cute little offerings would be lovely additions to a Teacher gift with chocolates in them, or for your children to give treats to their classmates or as an Office treat for your co-workers.

Again there are 3 dates listed so that people have options however the cards on offer at each class will be the same. The details are as follows:

I know it is very short notice, when I looked at our calendar things were filling up quickly it seemed so there are 3 dates listed so that people have options however the cards on offer at each class will be the same. The details are as follows:

Scrapbooking Class this Friday...

After much procrastination (doh!!) I have scheduled a Scrapbook class for this coming Friday.  We will be doing the following lovely layout I was inspired to create/copy and share by my Brains Trust...Maree and Rach :)

This is the 'girly' version and the thing I love the most about this design is it can be for anything...babies, birthdays, girl's night out...the list is endless all that needs to be done is change the stamped elements and the sentiment if you want to. Bonus!!  Here is a look at the boy version and when the class is done I will post some variations for all to see...

So this Friday, 10-12pm there is a scrap class at my house. The cost for the class will be $20 and you can choose one layout to complete...or do both if you want to - extra kits $15.
Please RSVP on delidoo@netspace.net.au to confirm your spot and get the address! Hope to see you on Friday

have a great Wednesday, love Adele xox

Bits & Pieces

Hello all, I hope you have had a wonderful Easter break and in NSW enjoying the first week of school holidays.  I have a couple of things to show today......these are for Maree, Rachael and Cath particularly....and for whoever else wishes to enjoy them!!!

On a recent trip to a local scrap shop....picture a Tarago pulling up with 5 women and a 2 year old piling out......we spotted a gorgeous layout mount just inside the store and I decided to buy one. Being a blank canvas, this is how I decorated it....so far (there is no bling...YET!!)

I used KaiserColour 'Tropical Water', Heidi Swapp 'Sea' and 'White' acrylic paints and a sponge to go wild with my stand.....while I was at it I attacked another challenge I had been given and created this....

I just need to fix it properly to the door but so far it hasn't fallen down which is good!!!

Earlier this year Maree, Rachael and I got together with Cath and Georgi and did some scrap page designs-in-a-box and we all went home with 3 extra design ideas.  Maree created a gorgeous bright page with a cool Lego dude on it and I have finally completed the page....that is stuck the completely staged photos on the double layout we did not too long ago!!!...here is is with close-ups:

new stand..see...see.....no journalling yet by gettin' there!!

Closeup of the Lego dude:

okay so he MIGHT need a face, but hey I'm on it!!

and the Lego blocks on the other page just for fun! Maree did make a girl Lego dudette but I haven't made one yet.....maybe if we get the 'Friends' Lego for girls I might get busy with that, who knows!!

Well I hope you have enjoyed this little journey, I am sure there will be more to come in the near future....I printed photos and I'm ready to scrap!!  Have a great rest of the week and weekend everyone xox

Cheaper Than Therapy Challenge #25 Creation

Well, I am working blind this week so hopefully I am forgiven for being a bit late and not quite fulfilling the challenge. Unfortunately I can't remind myself of the challenge because it is all stored elsewhere at the moment!!

Here is my creation for the Palette we had, I used a Crumb Cake12x12  base, Well Worn DSP with BajaBreeze and So Saffron accents. I have used a couple of non-SU alphabet die sets for my title just for something different and fun:

Not quite finished....I need to put a little doo-dad in the top corner......I will get to it soon and post the outcome :) Have a great week all and stay tuned for our next challenge.....later!!

Don't forget to check out Maree and Rach's blog for their creations too! xox

Cheaper Than Therapy Challenge #25

This week we are using another Palette and sketch from The Color Room......Here is the gorgeous Palette

Such warm, toasty colours...we need some warmth as our oh-so short Summer came back for a few days but has gone again now and it is chilly and a bit rainy...boo!!!

To me these colours are – Bashful Blue, Crumb Cake, So Saffron and Cajun Craze....what do they look like to you?

Here is a closeup of the sketch:

I can't wait to get started, there are a few ideas rattling around in my head....and a few more photos from my stash might just get some well deserved attention!!

Join us back here next week and see what Rach, Maree and I have come up with. Have a great week everyone xox

Cheaper Than Therapy Challenge #24 Creation

For this challenge we were working off another wonderful Becky Fleck sketch and there was no other stipulation other than to......

"Use what papers/colours/bits & pieces made you happy and use up the stash a little bit.......so long as the sketch is in there somewhere!!"
Here is a reminder of the sketch:

So my stash of photos got a workout for this one....

....and I got all twitterpated (oops! it's a sneak peek by accident!!) and this is my favourite photo....

Cheaper Than Therapy Challenge #24

This week we are using another sketch from the wonderful Becky Fleck....I think we are slightly addicted to her sketches as well as greatly inspired by them.
The only other stipulation of this challenge is:-
Use what papers/colours/bits & pieces made you happy and use up the stash a little bit.......so  long as the sketch is in there somewhere!!

Here is the Sketch

We have effectively decided to just GO FOR IT and I can't wait to see what Rach, Maree and I create!!!  Have a great week, whatever you are doing xoxoxo

Cheaper Than Therapy Challenge #23 Creation

....was most definitely a challenge for this little duck!!! A reminder:

The colours did my head in and I couldn't choose which ones to use, which Stampin' Up! ones looked most like the challenge colours....arrrggghhh!!!

In the end I decided to go with 3 shades of pink - Melon Mambo, Regal Rose and Pretty in Pink - and be done with it.

Given the pinkness of my chosen scheme I elected to honour Rachael's dedication to the Cancer Council's "Girl's Night In" event campaign and showcase the wonderful night we had in 2011.

It is an inspiration to me that as long as I have known her, my beautiful friend Rach has held a Girl's Night In event...and Josh and Max are now 8!!!

So here is my creation........

and the full layout....with the return of the spunky layout holder-er!!!

Pop on over to see what Rach and Maree have created for this challenge and drop in again tomorrow to see what we have set ourselves for the coming week! Have a great Monday xox

and a closeup of the sketch....

This could be a whole lot of fun....come back next Monday and see what Rach, Maree and I have come up with......what do we see in this challenge?!?  Have a great week xox

Cheaper Than Therapy Challenge #22

This week we will take this great sketch layout by Becky Fleck:-

and put it together with the 2012 Sale-a-bration gift paper pack - 'Everyday Enchantment'. This gorgeous paper pack uses colours not out of place in our previous challenge....the colours are.... Lucky Limeade, Pool Party, Peach Parfait, Calypso Coral, Poppy Parade, VeryVanilla and Soft Suede.

I can't wait to see what we all come up with Rach and Maree!! These papers are just so so pretty and lend themselves to anything.  I hope you all have a great week and get lots of creating done!  See ya on Monday xoxo

Cheaper Than Therapy Challenge Creation #21

I think I got a bit lost in this one and just kind of slapped it together and hoped for the best!!

On the plus side I am scrapping photos that I have had printed for a long time and have been very patient waiting for it to be their turn to shine on a page!!

Anyway, this challenge creation pays homage to kids messing up the place with paint and the photos we take of them doing it as excitied dutiful parents....then we leave it all to pre-school and school to avoid the mess!!!

I do like how the page has turned out, perhaps not the best photo of the layout, sorry!! Don't forget to check out Rach and Maree's blogs to see what they came up with too.  And check in tomorrow for the next challenge we have set ourselves.  Have a great week xox

Kicking off 2012........Cheaper Than Therapy Challenge #21

Hello and how is everyone?  I trust we have all made it through the Christmas...New Year....School Holidays...Start of School periods of the year safely and sanely!?!

Welcome to 2012, Maree, Rachael and I hope to bring you more fun and frivolity and creative inspiration with our little contributions to the blog challenge world.  I am constantly amazed at what we managed to achieve with our challenges last year...TWENTY we completed....how COOL is that!!

So lets see what we can accomplish this year....how much will we get done....how many packets of photos we can empty and clear out.

Here is challenge for this week.....

For Challenge Number 21, we are using another Palette by the talented girls at The Color Room:-

the sketch close up looks like this:

The colours for this challenge are most like the following Stampin’ Up! colours Tangerine Tango, Regal Rose, Baja Breeze and So Saffron (or are as I have interpreted them!)

I am feeling very challenged at the moment but I can't wait to see what the pages all look like next week.  Don't forget to check in and see what Rachael, Maree and I create for this challenge.  Have a great weekend.  Cheers xox

PS - In the interests of fair play - for those who wish to join in from home - we will allow colour substitutions if absolutely necessary (for your own sanity, forget any silly rules we have for each other, lol!) Swap Tangerine for Peach Parfait or Calypso Coral, Swap Regal Rose for Blushing Bride or Melon Mambo and I think I was nuts when I looked at the palette because the Saffron is so much more Peach....so much for quick picks hey!!

Rach, Maree and I will stick to the original choices because we are crazy - no, not really - because the original challenge document stands as is!

Tootles xoxo
